Grief Support Groups - Waterloo Area
Gone Too Soon
Cedar Valley Hospice is sponsoring an ongoing support group for parents of young adult children who have died. This group is open to anyone in the community. This group is facilitated by a Cedar Valley Hospice Grief Counselor.
When: Third Thursday of each month, 6:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Cedar Valley Hospice - Kimball Ridge Center, Waterloo, 4th Floor Board Room

Younger Bereaved Spouses/Partners Grief Support Group
This drop-in support group is for all pre-retirement age individuals who have experienced the death of a spouse, fiancé or partner.
When: Second Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Cedar Valley Hospice - Kimball Ridge Center, Waterloo, 4th Floor Board Room
The meeting dates for this group are: Sept. 14, Oct.12, Nov. 9, and Dec. 14 in 2009. In 2010, the dates are as follows: Jan. 11, Feb. 8, Mar. 8, April 12 and May 10. The group is facilitated by trained Cedar Valley Hospice volunteers who have also experienced the death of a spouse. There is no need to make a commitment to attend every month and participants are welcomed regardless of the means or manner of the death.
