Grief Support Groups - Waterloo
Six Week Adult Grief Group
Six Week Adult Grief Group is a support group open to any adult grieving the death of a loved one. This group is open to anyone in the community regardless of whether their loved one was on a hospice program. This support group is facilitated by Beth Bardonner, Cedar Valley Hospice Grief Counselor.
When: Wednesdays beginning September 8 - October 13, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Where: Cedar Valley Hospice - Kimball Ridge Center, Waterloo, 4th Floor Board room

Gone Too Soon
Cedar Valley Hospice is sponsoring an ongoing support group for parents of young adult children who have died. This group is open to anyone in the community. This group is facilitated by a Cedar Valley Hospice Grief Counselor.
When: Third Thursday of each month, 6:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Cedar Valley Hospice - Kimball Ridge Center, Waterloo, 4th Floor Board Room

Younger Bereaved Partners Group
This is a drop-in support group for all pre-retirement age individuals who have experienced the death of a spouse, fiancé or partner. This group is open to anyone in the community and is facilitated by trained Cedar Valley Hospice volunteers who have experienced the death of a spouse.
When: Second Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Dates for 2010: Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8, Dec. 13.
Dates for 2011: Jan. 10, February 14, March 7 (meeting the first Monday of the month as the second Monday falls during Spring Break), April 11, May 9.

Grief Support Groups - Grundy Center
Six Week Grief Support Group
Cedar Valley Hospice is sponsoring a support group open to any adult grieving the death of a loved one. This group is open to anyone in the community and is facilitated by a Cedar Valley Hospice staff member.
When: Begins Thursday, August 12 and meets each Thursday through September 16, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Where: Cedar Valley Hospice office in Grundy Center, located at 310 East G. Avenue.
There is no cost to attend the support group and they are open to the public. For more information contact Becky Demuth at (800) 617-1972. Pre-registration is not required, however an RSVP would be appreciated for supply purposes.
